The Sacrament of Confirmation empowers us to be messengers for Christ by giving us the Gifts of the Spirit. Those who are confirmed are set forth on a mission to live a life of faith and service to all as members of the Church throughout the world.  One of the most commonly known aspects of this sacrament is the taking of a Confirmation Name, often one of a Saint whose life we are setting out to imitate.  At St. Mary's, Confirmation typically takes place during 8th grade.  An extensive two year program is available to those      preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation which involves catechesis, service, and more.
